1. When using Credit Card & Online Banking payment options it may take 3-5 business days for payment to be processed.  If the payment is not received in our office prior to the due date because of this reason, we will not waive any penalties that have been applied, nor honour any discounts that were missed.

2. We cannot accept credit card payment at the office or over the phone.

Payment Methods 


Credit Card Payments:

  • Credit card payments can be made on our website only through a third-party service provider called OptionPay. This service uses a tiered fee schedule, and the fees are collected on behalf of OptionPay. The fee will be calculated automatically and applied to your payment total. 


E-Transfer Payments:

  • Payments can be made via E-Transfer by emailing The customer number or reason for payment must be included in the memo section of the E-Transfer. 

Online Banking Payments:

  • Payments can be made through online banking with most financial institutions, except TD Canada Trust. The customer number (found on the top right corner next to your name on the Tax Notice) must be used when setting up the online account, with additional zeros added if necessary. 

  • Search: Vanscoy RM 345 Taxes (not all banks use the same wording) 


  • Payments can be sent via cheque to the designated mailing address. It's important to ensure that the cheques are received in our office before the last business day of the month to avoid processing delays.

In-person Payments:

  • Cash or cheque at the municipal office during regular business hours. After-hours payments can be made through a drop box by the front door.
