Vision, Mission & Values
A Vision, Mission, and a set of core Values are the foundational pillars of our strategic plan. The Vision is our long-term, aspirational goal—it describes the ideal future we are working to create for the RM. The Mission is more immediate; it defines our organization's core purpose, outlining what we do, who we serve, and how we do it every day. Our Values are the guiding principles that shape our actions, culture, and decisions along the way.
Together, these statements are crucial because they provide a clear and consistent framework for governance. They act as a compass for Council and administration, ensuring every policy, project, and service aligns with our ultimate goals and builds trust and transparency with our community.
Vision
The RM of Vanscoy is a destination for families with a strong, self-sufficient economy, with its own reliable infrastructure to support vibrant residential growth and a thriving business hub that attracts diverse industrial and commercial investment that complements our agricultural foundation.
Mission
Foster sustainable growth through the provision of good governance, fiscal responsibility and municipal infrastructure, and provide high-quality services for the benefit of residents, the agricultural community and businesses.
Values

The Code of Ethics Bylaw is used to guide members of Council respecting what their obligations are when fulfilling their duties and responsibilities as elected officials.
